The Institute of Shia Studies proudly presents its first publication, the Arabic translation of Abdul-Hadi Hairi’s Shi’ism and Constitutionalism: A Study of the Role Played by the Persian Residents of Iraq in Iranian Politics. The book is a study in the role of the major scholars of religion in Najaf and other Shia holy cities in Iraq during the Iranian Constitutional Revolution in 1906-1911.  The main personality featured in this study is the Mujtahid Mohammad Hossein Naini, along with others such as Akhond al-Khorasani and Mohammad Kadhim al-Yazdi.
